Shopping for monthly groceries? Make a list before you enter the supermarket and keep to the list. Supermarkets are designed to overwhelm you with a sense of need and you always end up buying more than required. Sticking to your shopping list always helps cut down at least 10% on your bill. Spend a couple of minutes to check your bills. Research shows that a large % of the bills are erroneous with wrong values and quantities.
Worried with raising electricity bills? Replace incandescent bulbs with compact fluorescent light (CFLs) bulbs. Incandescent bulbs have high initial investment but these bulbs use 75% less energy and last 10 times longer. Save money on your bill and frequent replacement of bulbs.
Use solar water geysers instead of electricity or gas geysers. Now days we don't need to buy solar geysers, we can get it on rent also. You need to pay xx paisa per liter of water you use.
Do-it-yourself!!! Fix stuff at home like replace a tap, drill a nail to the wall. Do it yourself projects not only help you save; they become a fun way to spend time with your family. YouTube offers video on every topic.
Think twice about chucking old junk out of the window! You will get some minimal returns. Do not dispose plastic items like shampoo bottle, oil bottles. Collect them and sell it to the Recyclers.
Scout for deals with your telecom provider. Look for package deals and combine your cable, internet and telephone service. Companies now offer combined services that not only cost less, but offer the convenience of a single bill.
Not in pink of health. Need to buy medicines? Do you know buying medicines from a single neighborhood store helps? Build a personal rapport. Ask for a discount and you will be surprised. You can get anywhere between 7-10% discounts on every purchase and free home deliveries on regular purchases.
